Landscape Function Analysis (LFA)

LFA uses visually assessed indicators of soil surface processes that gauge how effectively a hill slope is operating as a biophysical system. LFA is currently used to asses the progress of rehabilitated lands on mine sites.

Botanica Consulting has over 10 years experience with setting up and monitoring LFA on many mine sites throughout the Goldfields. Our experienced team have attended Training Courses held by David Tongway, whom developed the technique, and are competent to assess waste landform amelioration through LFA indicators.
